Rear Admirals Abdul Munib, Syed Ahmed Salman, and Faisal Amin of the Pakistan Navy have been elevated to the rank of Vice Admiral, the Navy’s Directorate General Public Relations announced.
Vice Admiral Abdul Munib was commissioned into the Operations Branch in 1992. He is an alumnus of the Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore, the National Defence University in Islamabad, and has completed the Naval War College Command Course in the United States.

His distinguished career includes numerous command and staff positions such as Commanding Officer of PNS Alamgir, PNS Larkana, PNS Akram, and PNS Aatish. He has also led the Surface Task Group-2, the 25th Destroyer Squadron, and served as Commander Combined Task Force-151 at HQ US NAVCENT in Bahrain.
At Naval Headquarters in Islamabad, he has held senior appointments including Naval Secretary, Director General Naval Intelligence, Director (C4I), and Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Operations). Currently, he is serving as Commander Pakistan Fleet. In recognition of his exemplary service, he has been awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat.
Vice Admiral Syed Ahmed Salman, commissioned into the Supply Branch in 1991, is also a graduate of the Pakistan Navy War College and National Defence University Islamabad. His career encompasses significant command and staff roles including Director Inventory Control Point and Director Procurement (Navy).

He has additionally served as Secretary to the Chief of Naval Staff, Director Surface Stores, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Supply) at Naval Headquarters, and Defence Procurement Attaché in the United Kingdom. He is currently fulfilling responsibilities as Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Supply) and Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (Admin). For his distinguished service, he has been awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).
Vice Admiral Faisal Amin, commissioned into the Operations Branch in 1992, holds degrees from the Royal College of Defence Studies (UK), Army Command and Staff College Quetta, and the National Defence University Islamabad.
His extensive career includes commanding PNS Rajshahi and PNS Alamgir, leading the 18th Destroyer Squadron, and serving as Commander Surface Task Group-1. He has also been an instructor at the UAE Naval College in Abu Dhabi. At Naval Headquarters, he has held key positions including Director Naval Operations, Director Naval Development Plans (Platform), Principal Secretary to the Chief of Naval Staff, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), Naval Secretary, and Additional Secretary-III at the Ministry of Defence, Rawalpindi. He is currently serving as Commander Coast. Vice Admiral Faisal Amin has been conferred the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Basalat for his meritorious service.
