Field Marshal Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Monday, as diplomatic contacts across the region continue to intensify. The call marked the second round of talks Araghchi held within 24 hours, having separately spoken with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
During the conversation, the Pakistani army chief and his Iranian counterpart reviewed the progress of ongoing diplomatic initiatives aimed at safeguarding regional peace and stability. Both sides underlined the importance of drawing on existing cooperation mechanisms and pursuing political solutions to shared security concerns.
