Turkiye’s defence and aerospace exports reached $1.12 billion in July 2026, according to figures announced by Secretary of Defence Industries Haluk Gorgun. The monthly total marked a 14.4 percent increase compared with July 2025, underscoring continued growth in the country’s defense manufacturing sector.
Exports during the January-July period reached $5.787 billion, while the rolling total for the most recent 12 months climbed to $11.2 billion, Gorgun said in a statement posted on social media platform X. The rolling figure, which covers August 2025 through July 2026, reflects export performance across the latest 12-month window rather than Turkiye’s total for the 2026 calendar year.
The sector had already surpassed $11 billion on a rolling basis in June 2026, when exports for that month totaled $802.8 million and the first-half total stood at $4.67 billion, representing annual growth of 29.5 percent. July’s results pushed the rolling total from just above $11 billion to $11.2 billion, lifting the average monthly export value for the first seven months of 2026 to approximately $827 million.
For comparison, official figures placed Turkiye’s defence and aerospace exports, covering both goods and services, at $10.054 billion for the full 2025 calendar year, up from $7.154 billion in 2024.
The latest rolling figures indicate that Turkiye’s defense export sector has maintained its position above the $10 billion threshold for an extended period. Whether this momentum carries through to a comparable full-year result for 2026 will depend on export performance over the remaining five months of the calendar year.
